The Block Party That Defines Vegas Culture

Every first Friday of the month, the 18b Arts District transforms into the biggest block party in Nevada. Thousands of people flood the streets between Charleston and Colorado, browsing art, eating street food, and soaking in live music.

What Is New for Spring 2026

This spring, First Friday is expanding. The event now stretches three additional blocks south, adding a dedicated live music stage, a makers market with over 50 local artisans, and a kids zone that actually has cool stuff for families.

The Art Scene

Over 30 galleries open their doors for free during First Friday. Look for new exhibitions at The Arts Factory, Contemporary Arts Center, and the dozens of smaller galleries that line Main Street and Casino Center.

Food and Drink

The food truck lineup keeps getting better. Expect everything from Korean BBQ tacos to artisanal ice cream to wood-fired pizza. Local breweries like Able Baker and Astronomy Aleworks set up outdoor tasting stations.

Getting There

Parking is always a challenge. Your best bet is the garage on Commerce Street or rideshare drop-off at the intersection of Main and Charleston. The event runs from 5 PM to 11 PM.

Why It Matters

First Friday is not just a party. It is the heartbeat of the local creative community. It is where small businesses get discovered, where artists sell their first piece, and where Vegas reminds itself that there is a whole city beyond the Strip.
